The NL at the end of its name indicates that it comes without a lens. For convenience, we'll often shorten the name throughout this review, to Z8000 or Z8000WU

High brightness, close to 5000 lumens ; Multiple (6) lens choices allows for installation over a wide range of distances from screen ; Excellent color saturation and overall image with any resolution ; Excellent video performance with higher than usual...

Has dust filter that must be maintained ; No ability to display via the network connection ; Large size and heavy weight (in general) ; Lamps cannot be individually turned on or off, although if one fails the other will continue to run

About the only similar resolution projector (2048x1200, 1980x1200 or 1920x1080) I can think of, that costs about the same is Sanyo's PDG-DHT100L, single chip commercial DLP projector, which costs a thousand dollars, or so, additional, and is rated 500...
