Pantum P-2000

 

The Pantum P-2000 is a brand new entry-level laser from a brand new, Chinese company.

Standard and high yield cartridges ; Good speed for price ; Very good price

No duplex print ; USB only ; Large footprint when open

Most control comes from the driver, which offers multiple pages per sheet, poster printing and watermarks, but not a lot else. There’s only manual duplex available, an option which displays instructions for re-feeding paper by hand.

Simple

 

I've used a few laser printers in my time, a lot of them have cost $100-$300 and they've all done the same thing. Finding a nice reliable laser printer for under $100 that does that same thing is pretty nice, maybe I can splurge on a better coffee...

More Compact than some of the other laser printers I've previously owned. Fit perfectly on the land fill I call my desk ; Easy to use/set up, plugged in the USB, installed software, printed out a test page, all before my coffee maker was done spitting...

No display/info screen, but come on it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if something is wrong with a printer
