Improvement over Windows

 

I'm about to upgrade to 4GB of RAM because the 1GB just doesn't quite do it for me. I'm also buying the Elgato TV tuner hybrid so I can watch TV on my Mac. Finally, I use the Logitech z-2300 2.1 sound system with this computer to listen to my tunes....

High quality computer with a high quality operating system. The aluminum case makes this computer look awesome. Works out of the box and won't get slow over time like Windows. I went from Windows to Mac and I'll never go back

This isn't really a con, but Airbornedivo said that the remote wouldn't stick to the computer. This is because Apple took out that feature on the Aluminum models. Just thought I'd clear this up

Its really good but...

 

Buy this. It is a workhorse

The computer itself is awesome. I love the screen, its breath taking. The computer runs quietly and cool (I manually control fans with software), the computer is fast and it is perfect for anyone not just "everyday" users

THE KEYBOARD> EWWWWWWW. I hate the keyboard. It is atrocious. I immediately went out and bought a Saitek Eclipse II and threw the keyboard in storage. Also, Apple tech support stinks

Great price and computer

 

Newegg can't be beat. I bought direct from apple so I could get the wireless mighty mouse with it, but Newegg has great customer service. Buy applecare sometime within the first year and shop around for a good price.

The middle ground "sweet spot" for iMac pricing. I've had this computer since it came out in August and it's been a great solid machine. I upgraded it to Leopard and 2 GB of RAM with third party RAM. Do yourself a favor and buy the RAM from Newegg. If...

If you are a freak about cracking open computers and upgrading your own components (Like a larger HDD) you might have some issues. (Not to mention voiding the warranty)

Don't buy RAM from apple. Get it from Newegg--it's way cheaper. I haven't used a mac for about 10 years and it's crazy how nice these are. Also, a reviewer mentioned that the apple remote doesn't stick to this imac. I don't think the remote is meant to...

Excellent design and it works right out of the box. No funky error messages or status balloons like you get with XP all the time. I can dual boot with XP for software that is PC only. Sick screen ; OSX 10.5 is so much better than windows that it makes...

The system that newegg is offering above has OSX tiger. You really should get Leopard--that's the current OS you'd get if you bought from apple. Keyboard takes some getting used to, but it looks great. Same goes for the mouse
