Fairly easy operation

germy, can smell, can be difficult to keep clean

Check for possible alternatives before a purchase if you dont want to(or cant) do basic maintenance. If you have new carpets, your carpets may end up needing replacement later anyways.

Nice machine, but sprayer is out of control

 

On the small 3" (seems more like 2 inches) brush, the sprayer sprays water out the sides to a total width of about 2-3 feet. Dang! They say it's a spot cleaner, but that's some big spot. I wish there were a way to modulate the sprayer. The big brush...

Easy to use. I like the heating mechanism. Small, not too heavy
