We broke our good dirt devil and got this one thinking it would be fine. It does the job, just not as well as the more expensive ones. If you just have hard floors and maybe a couple of lighter rugs then this should do the job for you fine. Suction...

Suction is extreme !!! And cord is long enough to get around the areas I am cleaning. Very Pleased !

I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT THAT HAS BOTH HARDWOOD FLOORS AND CARPETING. THIS VACUUM WORKS PERFECTLY ON BOTH. IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT AND EASY TO MOVE AROUND..NOT TO MENTION IT IS REALLY CUTE!!!!!

I didn't know that they made vacuum cannisters so small and compact. It works very well. The vacuum suction is adjustable from minimum to maximum how many vacuums have that? It does have small allergenc bags but that is ok. I too have a big old upright...
