It does not claim to play Divx.

It functions as advertised ; Remote is large & has nice layout.Other than DVD movies it also plays mp3 incl VBR, Digital photos on jpg.,VCD/SVCD movies on CD. Playing MP3 and JPG on CD is okay & use short file names ; The CD tray is very responsive but...

Not friendly when playing w/ too many mp3 folders or files on DVD ; Its limitation is unknown ; Avoid Using NEXT chapter button w/c seem to hung up or very slow response

Won't Last

 

Lasted about two weeks before it started smelling hot and gives a disk error when you try to load a disk. Hoping newegg will help with warranty as the online rma can't been done for some reason

Wont play my DVDs correctly

 

I download and burn AVI files as DVD disks. They don't play correctly. Disk might play for a minute or two (so it isnt a CODEC problem) then stop or might pause for a minute and continue, or it might sputter for a while and continue playing. Since this...

Great for the Money

 

This thing has played everything that I have thrown at it. But the downsides are, it seems a little slow to load. On occasion there was some minor pixelation of some movies that would play fine on my Sony. But for the kid this thing is great!
