Bought this machine in 1998 for $600 CDN, bought it because of DTS out, which few machines at the time had. The machine runs well, I can't imagine how many discs I've watched or listened to over the years. With the advent of CD and DVD burners, ...

Not too shabby for a machine bought in 1998.

Doesn't do burned discs very well, no MP3, photo or DivX support.

As an avid audio/videophile, I wanted to supplement my old Pioneer Laser Disc player with a DVD player. When this player came out 2.5 years ago, I purchased it but only after comparing similar priced ones from Sony and Toshiba. This one won hands down...

Great picture, remote control, track access speed, reliable.

Replaced by newer model, generates lots of heat.

I got my Panasonic DVD player about a year ago. It is a very good machine. It plays very well. The DVD player has many features that I like. The fact that you can play the DVD one frame at a time makes viewing movies great. I can slow the movies...
