This DVD player is very, very nice. It seems to do miracles every day. Because, let me tell you a story. I have kids and I have DVD's. Let's just say that the two groups have some incompatibility issues. DVD's don't like to be touched in certain places...

Dirty or scratched DVDs no problem for Sony DVPNS55P/B Single Disc DVD Player

 

Inexpensive. Can get in black color. Plays a multitude of disc formats wonderfully.

Navigating the on screen setup with remote is a little confusing.
