A great compliment to your DVR

 

Some reviews indicated that DVD recorders might not record HBO and pay per view channels. I haven't tried pay per view, but there was not any problem recording HBO and HBO on Demand.

Defective from the start

 

I tried 3 different dvd recordable discs (DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD-RW). None of the discs would record and showed error messages. Gonna return this one.

This product came out top in the rfecent 'Which?' survery, and I bought it because it seems silly to pay for advice and then not take it. It has RAM as well as -RW on the DVD formats accepted, and I like the idea of time slippage.

The control box is complicated and not very intuitive. The major setback is that this product has a built-in analogue tuner, but no built-in digital tuner, so you are restricted to the current analogue channels if you want to reecord whilst you are out.
