Zenith DVB216

Nice cosmetics; satisfactory 3:2 pull-down detection; pleasing feature package; illuminated remote control with jog shuttle dial; MP3 playback; HDCD support.

Poor deinterlacing for video-based material; switching from component video to S-Video is awkward.

An excellent value among progressive-scan DVD players, the DVB216 makes a great match for HDTV-ready televisions
