Surround Sound on the cheap

 

I got this bad boy for 200 bucks, which was a very good price. It's everything I wanted in a surround sound system and more. It even has rear speaker wireless compatibility so that in the future I can upgrade to wireless rears if I want. Pretty cool......

Very Very Very good sound. Those complaining about balancing don't know how to balance their own sound... too bad for you. Automatic setup is also a big pro as it adapts your speaker setup to any room perfectly, no matter where the speakers are setup....

Only one digital optical connection. Not a big deal though, I haven't seen any with more than one ever. And generally you can route everything through the t.v

great system for the price

 

I made some speaker stands for the rear speakers. Definitely know what your going to do with the rear speakers.

The system is really great for the price. Crisp clear audio and the DVD player works well too ; The sub really has some kick to it. I can't really get it cranking in my apartment - its easy to generate a complaint. The first day I had it I couldn't...

Great Surround Unit

 

My setup, everything goes to LCD TV, TV to unit with optical cable. Xbox 360 does have surround sound passed through my TV but does not separate back channels, it combines back left and back right.

The unit has auto setup to calibrate the speakers. Installed and ran setup and the system sounded great. Using a LCD TV, Wii, Xbox 360, and DVD Recorder. Good sounding range. Very pleased with purchase

Speakers use proprietary connection on back of main unit. Speaker wires almost didn't work for my room(12x15) too short. There is only 1 optical input. Biggest problem is that priority is given to 'coaxial in' instead of 'optical in'. My DVD recorder...

I was a little leery to buy this based on some of the lower ratings and comments I've read. I've had mine now a few weeks and for the money, this is GREAT! For starters, to hook-up this system make sure you're using the optimal connections ie, HDMI and...

Easy set-up, 5 disk cd, good sound, iPod doc is great! and D.C.A.C. (Auto Calibration)

The display is a little hard to see from across the room and the remote is a little overly complicated. Also would be nice to have more control of the sound

Nice HT for the price!!

 

I think its time they should start giving HDMI and optical audio cables as part of the packaging, now that its becoming a "standard".

For the price you can't beat it

 

I looked and looked for a surrond sound system to go with my 1080p 50" lcd and my xbox 360. I usually dont buy sony products only because I think they are overpriced most of the time. But the more I read up on this set the more I became comfortable...
