Overall, these speakers are good for the price $400 a pair, unbeatable price for the sound. Depend on what receiver you have, but I would recommend that go with a good receiver, at least $500 receiver like Pioneer-elite, denon, harman kardon, marantz....

Not really a con, but I wish these speaker came with a horn tweeter. The dome tweeter is good, but I prefer horn tweeter over the dome. =)

Price paid (significant discount from list), bass is tight and reasonably deep for 6.5" drivers. Upper midrange is good. Construction seems reasonably sound for the price. My kids love how these look with the grills off.

Main gripe: the aluminum dome tweeters on these speakers can be downright HARSH on certain passages, especially at higher volumes. Also, they lack adjustable feet with spikes for carpeted surfaces. On plush carpets this can be a significant issue....
