Great product, but NOT 7.1 decoder

 

I've owned this for many many years and still use it. Originally bought it for use with my D-theater player that was connected to my PC monitor through a component to VGA trans-coder as that was the only display in my house back in 2004 that was HD....

This thing is great!, I have my PS2 and XBOX hooked up to it via optical cables and the sound is amazing. Buy this and 5.1 computer speakers and it is the cheapest way to get great theater-like surround sound.

Creative 7.1-Channel Audio Decoder DDTS-100

 

Perfect for my needs. I hooked it up to my pro-logic surround system with 6 channel inputs. Sound is good(i'm no audiophile though) and it supports 4 digital inputs.
