They're ok, but not as good as asking price would suggest.

 

Very natural sound, with a good subwoofer (16Hz - 20Hz real extension). They make a good 2.1 system. They play nice with tubes too. However, getting to cons now

They are definitely not capable of 45Hz, you will need a sub for bass ; The speakers are not 4.5" as another reviewer mentions ; 449/each is a ridiculous price for these. For the money you can get way way better fronts unless you absolutely need wall...

I used these to replace my tried and true Snell E IV's which on their stands were just taking up too much space in the family area (low wife acceptance factor). In terms of pure musical playback, these cannot match the Snell's. For home theater, they...

Very clean sound. Plays loud without distortion when suitably powered. Solid construction and they look very nice wall mounted beside a flat screen

As the first reviewer mentioned, they have no real bass capability. I understood this when buying them based on the driver specs and cabinet size. Definitive takes great liberties with their published specs. BUT, a proper subwoofer takes care of the issue

I bought a pair of these speakers to replace an old pair of PSB Alpha A/Vs that I use for watching TVs and listening to music. There's the POTENTIAL for some really good sound here, but by themselves, the Mythos Two speakers will leave you...

Solidly constructed, midrange and highs are pretty good (sometimes astonishingly so), look good mounted to the wall next to a TV

Non-existent bass...by themselves, these speakers will disappoint. Plan on buying a subwoofer, or don't bother buying these
