macally Portable Stereo Speakers for iPod devices Model IP-A111B - Retail

 

Excellent little speaker for low listening in a small environment. I got about 28hrs of use out of a single AA (Energizer Titanium). Haven't used cheap batteries or rechargeable ones yet. Will distort at max volume, but it is not made for that.

Power switch should be on the front. Being on the back you tend to forget to switch it off. Speaker's jack could be offset to fit better.

Price is two thirds as much as I have found any where else, and that includes shipping.

The unit does sound great. It does amplify the sound, thus the need for a battery. Small unit but puts out a great sound.

None that I have observed thus far.

Not So Good With Zen Nano Plus

 

Works really well when I run it off the output from a tap deck. I imagine that it would probably work great with an Ipod.

Compact and easy to use. Good sound quality when the drive device has enough power.

Product was advertised for Ipod devices and I tried it with my Zen Nano Plus by Creative anyway. My bad. The Nano doesn't seem to have the power to drive the Podwave to anything beyond low-mid volume.

Not very good; advice

 

Kind of tinny and not much sound output. if you shop around, various brands have this type of mini speaker mp3 device. The cheapest ones [...]seem to work about as well as the [$]ones. I sometimes put in on my video ipod and my little kids listen to...

had these sitting on a shelf then one day it rolled off for some reason / go to get it and noticed the plug completely broke off where it was sitting, just a very poor design flaw just do not get it hey get the isymphony thats on the rack next to the...

Whisper quiet

 

Can't wait to return. Very little sound, plain speaker works better for [$] less money. When we were teenagers this is the sound level our parents only dreamed of, quiet.
