Fine if you use BT

 

If you are wondering whether I was the problem rather than Sony, I do have degree in the field, still working in the field, and can probably write a better app than songpal in a few weeks using 'free time'. Can't image how aggressive Sony is trying to...

BT connection seems to be stable enough to use.

Don't bother with other 'features' of this thing or use the remote for anything other than volume/BT on. You're looking for endless frustration and disappointment trying to do so.

Great sounding speaker with present bass and crisp highs. There are really nothing missing from the sound quality. There is also AirPlay, DLNA, and Spotify Connect which is wonderful when they work.

The SongPal app is a disaster. There is really no reason a company the size of Sony can produce such low quality app and especially on iOS. Connecting to a network is way harder that it's supposed to. The SongPal app would only connect to the speaker...

Fabulous sound.

 

I bought this because my B&W Zeppelin frequently 'dropped' its Air Play connection half way through listening. Never had a single "drop" with the SRS-X9; and it sounds better too!

Amazing Product

 

Bought this a month ago to use with my Bluetooth enabled Sony Walkman MP3 player. The speaker is amazing - sound quality excellent, good balance of bass, mid and high frequency. Works brilliantly as a wireless speaker.
