Smells like plastic, even after one week of use. I do not like the taste of the coffee it makes. The carafe has sharp edges that cut my husband when he washed it. The coffee is nice and hot, but that's about all. We never made espresso ...just sending...

This is a sweet little coffee maker, espresso maker works great, heats up fast, whipper works great, the coffee timer is awesome and the coffee comes out nice and hot, unlike come coffee makers! Only had it one day, but so far so good!
