Expensive machine which produces nice big clear ice, but for all the money spent it is too loud. Also, the door doesn't close smoothly. It takes some pull to open it.

We've had our unit for about a month. The ice is fresh, and the unit is easy to use. It makes ice extremely fast, usually within 20-30 minutes of being turned on. When it is making ice, it can be loud. I tend to turn it on to fill it up before a party,...

Great a tad loud though

I replaced a GE Monogram model icemaker after 8 years. The Scotsman needs a flap to prevent ice from overflowing when the outer door opens. Also, the wire holder for the scoop isn't sufficient. It gets knocked out when the ice cubes drop/fill the cabinet.

Product showed up when expected and in great shape. Took me a little while to figure out that the sprayer panel inside had become dislodged [...] Once I got that figured out, it works beautifully. The only negative I can think of is that it is noisier...
