Great AC unit but needs a minor design improvement

 

The unit works well and is relatively quiet for an 18k btu unit. Removing the front cover for a through the wall installation was difficult. One of the two mounting tabs that hold the control panel to the grill cover broke off during installation. It...

TOO NOISY!

 

Very unhappy with this unit. The cooling is OK,but the sound of the very powerful fan blowing is very loud,even on the low setting. Actually the medium & high speeds are not too much louder than the low. We previously owned a GE 12,000 btu AC for 19...
