Dell Inspiron 580s

 

The Dell Inspiron 580s is a very good compact system for the home user, with enough power to work on light to moderate multimedia tasks.

Compact and quiet. No bloatware. 15-month subscription to MacAfee Internet Security. Fast core i3 processor. HDMI port. Some expandability.

320GB hard drive. Weak 3D performance. No eSATA or FireWire port. Could use wireless connection.

Dell Inspiron 580s

 

The Dell Inspiron 580s ($529, as of April 20, 2010) is in many ways a typical budget PC. Its main points of differentiation are a chassis that is slimmer than most in its category and generally strong performance for the price.

Strong general performance ; Slim, attractive case

Lackluster storage capacity ; Poor expansion options

Storage space is lacking, and the case leaves much to be desired, but you can't argue with the performance or the price.

It has been the best computer I have had yet. Fastest boot to the desktop I have ever seen. There is no way you can be dissatisfied with 6GB of RAM and a 750 GB hard drive for that kind of money. Good price even better computer

Intel graphics is ok. Im going to upgrade which wont cost much so it really isnt much of a con. Only thing I could think of

Dell Inspiron 580

 

The product has difficulty keeping internet connection, dropping out regularly or just stalling for several minutes before continuing. It is also quite slow updating screens on the internet. I regret not buying another HP PC.
