Good efficient, light and quiet mini PC, but a pain to set up

 

I picked this up for my wife to replace her old PC, she just plays Facebook games most of the time on it and it does the job for her, I threw in a Sandisk 128GB M.2 drive and 8GB Crucial DDR3L-1600 RAM and Windows 10 home and uses Microsoft Designer...

- Displayport - M.2 slot - 2.5" 7mm/9mm HDD/SSD bay - includes wifi and bluetooth module

A royal pain after installing fresh Windows (10), once you're finished installing Windows 10 you must download all the drivers off Gigabyte's site (or download it beforehand and store it on a flash stick) otherwise you'll run into some stability issues.

Great

 

Does anyone know if it is compatible with m.2 pcie nvme? I can't figure it out from their website. I loaded in the 850 evo m.2 and it's working great.

Has been up over a month. No issues at all.

It is picky with ram, like the intel NUCs. I used crucial 1600mhz 16gb ddr3l kit with no issue. It didn't work period with Kingston.

Update to my previous review.

 

Would recomend checking this one out. 4k and very quiet. (Haven't tried any gaming on it)

First was DOA.. replacement works flawlessly. Tested with 3 different sets of memory (on qvl) and 2 sets (not on qvl) and it posted with all. Crucial ssd performs as intended. This little thing makes a great HTPC. Setup with win 10 (via usb3.0) took 8...

First one was DOA. Second is running perfect so just one egg off..

Quick Setup and Great Performance

 

-For me this product was a no-brainer. So far I'm really happy with everything including the performance on WIndows 10. I had no hardware or software compatibility issues at all.

-There are reviews of RAM compatibility issues but I had no issue at all. It works flawless with G.Skill Ripjaws F3-1600C11D-16GRSL. -To install the RAM you raise the module up at a 45 degree angle, insert them into the motherboard slots and then push...

- More instructions and information on the product would be helpful, especially about SSD/RAM compatibility.

Doa

 

I can't recommend anything that arrives doa. However, if the replacement works as intended I would of course recomend. 3% of all electronics are bad due to manufacturing defects. This one may be one of that 3%.

Great features. Small footprint.

This brix was doa. Rma'd. Will update when I get replacement... Will not post. Tried 3 different brands of memory. All on qvl. No display signal from either HDMI or mini displayport. (1080p, 2k, and 4k monitor) the unit only turns on the power led.

Quick and Super Easy Setup

 

Very quick and easy to setup. Had an extra 120gb ssd, and ram from an old laptop, popped them both in and it booted right up. I did change a BIOS setting to Windows 8.1/10, as a previous reviewer mentioned. No issues installing Windows 10 from a flash...

None. It has its place, and does it well.

Great Product! Easy to Setup and Use!

 

Windows 10 works perfectly, but first you have to go in Bios and change the type of OS to Windows 8.1 / 10, this also removes the noise screen image during initial boot

Fast, stable, Easy to Install, Small but powerful as one Desktop, 6th Generation Intel Core i3-6100U, 2.3GHz Skylake makes this small work station well

None for now, I hope it is durable as Gigabyte's slogan

GIGABYTE BRIX GB-BSi3H-6100

 

I am considering a refund.

Ultra small form factor. Easy install of SSD and memory.

Got mine already yet, it does not boot up to BIOS screen. Have tried three different monitors to no avail. I have not tried the mini display port as of yet.
