I am embarrassed to admit that I've owned 2 of these.  The 1st lasted 5 years, the 2nd lasted less than two years.  And Sears wouldn't even waive the diagnosis fee to have it looked at.  I will NEVER buy another Kenmore appliance.

I don't understand all the other negative reviews for this machine - I've had mine for a dozen years and it's still going strong! I love it! The front loading "tumble action" really does clean clothes gently and yet more thoroughly than any top loader...
