Archos AVCam 300

Saves MPEG-4 video at high bit rates; 3.8-inch LCD screen and multigigabyte storage; upgradable firmware.

Zoom makes grinding noise and moves erratically; bulky and heavy when combined with player; can be awkward to hold; built-in battery can't be replaced with a spare.

This portable video player attachment captures better MPEG-4 video and stills than many of the more expensive ultracompact multimedia devices that compete against it.
