Axis Communications 207 Network Camera

 

Axis Communications has produced a high-quality, but tiny network camera at an impressive price. Ideal, if you're looking for a bit of extra office security.

If a high image quality is more important than pan and tilt functions, the 207 Network Camera is a top choice. You simply won't get any better at this price.

Good for the price

 

Default router IP on the setup is 192.1.1.1. Watch out for that. I overlooked it several times before I noticed it. Aside from that, have had zero issues.

Easy setup, good image quality, decent frame rate, adjustable focus, and excellent wireless range.

None so far. Was well worth the price paid.

Good camera but not for the light hearted

 

I use this camera as a "fishtank" cam, it works extremely well for this usage. Even at 1", the fish are in perfect focus, color is brilliant and the green LED light seems to attract them to the lens. I tried it on an outside view but it was slightly...

Good optics, good picture with MPEG4, reasonable with JPG, good range with wifi.

Difficult to setup, make sure to upgrade firmware FIRST! Finding and setting the IP is a bit tricky, make sure to read the setup instructions carefully.

Don't waste time looking at other camaras. Spend the little bit extra and get this one.

Excellent image quality, superbly written instructions, strong wi-fi signal.

It's a network camera which can be viewed from any computer on the network, unless access protection is set up.

In order to take full advantage of the camera, Axis Camera Station software should be used.

I bought this to monitor the front yard and the circle I live on, due to vandalism concerns. I had no prior experience with network cameras prior to this one. The software that this unit comes with is where this product leaves much to be desired. Out...

Setup was quite easy and had to be done with a network hardline at first (as you might have guessed). Within minutes I had a moving image that was viewable from a browser. To get the image, I had to allow the installation of an ActiveX control for both...

It would have been nice to get a big notice to go check out Camera Station One, from Axis' web site, or even have that software included on the install disk. There's no internal backup for the date/time stamp, so if you power the camera down, you have...
