The gripping mechanism does not expand sufficiently, nor does it have enough grip, to attach to my slim monitor. Additionally, the USB cable is too short to reach to my CPU which sits on the floor near my monitor. I would not recommend this product...

It's my first camcorder, so I can't compare it to any others. But it was easy to install, the mic, headset and camera all worked perfectly. The camera gives a clear sharp picture and works great for video calls to my grandchildren.
