Great monitor

 

This montor has an (according to ViewEra's web site) 8-bit P-MVA panel.

Black isn't really black, but more like a dark gray due to the back light leaking through.

I hope it was just this one monitor I replaced it with a samsung

It was a good monitor while it lasted

After about three weeks the screen would turn black and stay that way after showing the image for 3 seconds

Great Detail

 

Very good for the price. The only thing that bothers me is that it cant display real black. I think its the best you will get for the money though.

Can't actually display "black". This monitor's black is a dark grey. I do wish there was a Horisontal, and Vertical size ajust for fulscreen, and 16:9 devices (aka my 360). I do have a dead pixle. But thats what the warranty is for

I'm going to give the replacement a chance.

The monitor is bright, and has a good contrast. It's also bigger than I thought, which is a plus. I played a movie on it, and it looked great, no ghosting. I like the resolution (1680x1050). When using non-native resolutions, the Scaling looks better...

Had a dead pixel, even though it was guaranteed not too. I'm sending it back for a replacement (at my expense). Solid colors look kind of mottled when displayed, not pure ; Buttons and speakers feel kind of cheap. Box was torn, and taped back together,...

One word: Wow.

 

No dead pixel guarantee was the reason I bought it, and guess what, they were right. There's one pixel that is a little funky in that it won't go super dark, but I can only see it in some scenes of dark movies and even then it looks like a harmless...

Amazing detail, color is great. Can barely look at it at full brightness, but the image still is awesome. I spend a lot of time coding and with terminals, and this screen is incredibly easy on the eyes, even with small text

Apparently it has speakers built in. Wasn't really a consideration in buying it, nor should it be. They sound like someone is listening to an old radio down the hall. Work OK for occasional system sounds, but beyond that they really sound bad
